Phyllis and Evelyn pictured as children on the packaging, are the creative and inspirational women who founded Creativity for Kids in 1976.

Originally Phyllis and Evelyn took a tongue in cheek approach when they first started out. Everywhere they went they saw founder’s photos that showed elderly men in dark suits. They wanted the Creativity for Kids founders to be portrayed as real, approachable people, so they each went home and found photos of themselves as 6 year old girls. Coincidentally, in the photos they chose, they both had ribbons in their hair and collars on their dresses.
