Cover your baking tray with aluminum foil. Be sure to preheat your pan and oven at the same time to 350 degrees. A hot pan will allow the plastic to shrink more evenly and quickly. Leave the pan in the oven until you are all done baking. Move your pieces in and out of the oven on the piece of foil that you have lined your pan with.

Place your shrink film on the tray with the colored side facing up. Be sure they are at least 3" from each other.

It's very important to avoid using an air-insulated cookie sheet when baking. They work great for cookies, but that type of pan insulates the heat from getting to the plastic sheet properly and can hinder the shrinking process and create excessive curling.

While we suggest keeping the tray in the oven for 1-3 minutes, baking time may vary depending on your oven.  

While they may appear to curl up for some time, they will flatten out on their own – it is not necessary to flatten them yourself. If you remove them too soon, your Shrink Fun won’t shrink! Place them back in the oven until the shrinking process is complete.

If you see portions of your piece that appear to be bubbled or is simply not done yet. Put it back in the oven and allow it to finish shrinking. Having a hot pan will help avoid this.

Once they have flattened, keep the tray in the oven for about 20 more seconds and then remove them, placing them on a heat proof surface.

Cool on the tray for 10 minutes. When they are cool enough to touch, use a spatula to lift them off.
